Rear tyre size

    I'm looking at a pair of new tyres, my existing rear is a 50 profile, there are loads of deals on Openeo and FWR for 55 profiles. If I swapped would there be much of a difference in the riding.


    Or can anyone recommend a place they use. I'm looking at Super Corsa or Bridgestone R10's

    Many recommend a 55.

    I changed and love it, quicker tip in and more contact patch when leant over. Win win.

    Yes go for the 55, handles better and more grip on the lean

    Wouldn't go back to a 50 profile! Feels much better with a 55 profile

    55 profile 100%, I have also run 180/60's with no dramas:eek:

    For road riding stick with the 50 profile, if doing track switch to 55 ... I've used both. I prefer the 50.

    I prefer the 55 on road and track lucky my R1 come with 55 standard, has Honda's new bkade gone to the 55 yet like all other sports bikes or are they still on the 50's?

    I've just gone from a 55 back to a 50. Haven't ridden on it yet but I'm anticipating disappointment and a failed experiment :D

    According to the spec on the Honda website they're still 50! Bizarrely.

    Does anybody run a king carbon hugger on a 14+ blade with a 55 tyre? I want to swap to 55 next time but want to make sure the clearance is OK. Thanks in advance.

    Have 55 profile and king carbon hugger on an 08 and no problem with clearance

    got a 50 going on my RR6 on Friday, they do have 55 in stock too. Can I get some votes in please?! Used 50 previously never tried a 55...

    No am on an 08 but most prefer the feel of the 55 due to more drip when lent over
