Any thoughts on this chaps? I am approx 15 stone with all gear on Rear tyre was 28 psi hot Cold tear or do I need a setup?
Looks like you might have too much pressure fella.... The BSB's and racetec track tyres can handle lower pressure than the standard tyres I believe
I would say that a set up is what is needed there. Maybe the pressure is a bit high too, but can't be sure. If it is, it would only be by 1psi or so.
i would say pressure is fine raelly 28-29 is the figure u work around on those i think. mayb some setup in the rear. was it a new tyre or scrub etc
New tyre done approx 1000 road miles and two track days. Not many suspension specialists in the Lincolnshire area theres a few who claim to be but unsure who to trust on it.
Hmm Lincoln I'm not sure. Can't think where Colin at 100% suspension is but he's good. If not a few others are a lot further up the country. Mct have done mine and they are proper good(Ipswich). 1000 road miles ..... What are u expecting
Yeah seen them but the majority are rough arses! Just been to Cadwell to pick up some D212's from Mark (Holbeach Motorcycle Tyres) and would you believe it Colin 100% Suspension was there!! He seems to think pressures but will get a setup from him next year now. Never seen him at any of the No Limits days I usually attend must be a Focused Events guy..
Hi buddy I run my d212 on my blade 21 rear 31 front cold and wear is brilliant with suspension as it come out of honda
Lucky u lol. Get a setup up and sure il feel a massive difference. Mayb a oil service if u can spare the money. I'm sure I could feel it. Mayb I couldn't but sure I could
It's on a 2013 bike not a Honda BTW will try Colin next time round bare in mind I use it on the road don't wanna be losing my nuts down the road!
When I've used Racetecs I always had around 29 cold in the rear, as advised by trackday tyre guys. Have Ohlins rear suspension and stage one conversion on the front forks and bike was set up by Kais at Wigan. Tyre always looked mint after a session even when others in the garage were tearing theirs up. Once ran them at 36 + 36 at Oulton in very cold weather, as advised again by tyre guys. Thought this would be miles out but again they scrubbed up perfect. Never make the mistake of asking folk in your garage, on that day they all suggested around 28 cold. First thing I do is visit the tyre guys for their recommendation on the day, they've not been wrong yet!
Yeah it's a good point tyres work best warm which increases psi so the colder it is they need more wind in them cold
Rich, Parkitt Racing who do the setup/repairs at Cadwell are based in Retford if that's any help? http://parkittracing.co.uk/
