Hey. 2 days ago i removed my rear wheel to get some new rubber on it. When i got the wheel back it feels like the rear wheel is hitting small bumps even when the road is completly smooth. It is like 3 or 4 smalls bumps then it is good for a couple of meters and the same thing happens again. I thought maybe i had got a bad rear wheel so i switched with a new one and balanced it, and it is no difference. Checked chain tension and wheel alignment. Everything seems ok. Have put the bike on the rear stand and watched it when in first gear. Wheel seems totaly round, but it is a lot of movement in the chain. Goes up and down. Chain is stiffer in some places. Bike is a 2009 cbr 1000 rr and has 24500km on it, and i think the chain is from it was new. The only thing i can think of is when i put the rear wheel back on again, is that the chain and sprocket has been mounted on some other sprocket teaths. This shouldn't make any difference, but maybe it did since it starts to be worn out. What do you think? Sorry for my english, i am norwegian Kenneth
Sounds like tight spots on the chain to me and when it is not fully meshing with the teeth on the sprocket.
Was out in the garage and checked each link. Found 2 links that didn`t move like the rest of the chain.
