I have been in contact with HRC and a local Honda dealership seeking the red colour code used on the HRC livery for my CBR1000RR-8 to no avail. I am beginning to think it’s a trade secret. Can anyone help?
Try 'Paint Box' motorcycle painters, bit like Dream Machine but better..... In my opinion! Simple Google search will reveal their telephone number, very helpful set of lads.
I have one of these (2011) and the colour is 'Winning Red'. Someone with that colour bike might be able to give you the full code. I'll give you the low down on Dream Machine tomorrow. Get my NS back at long last. I just hope their painting is better than their communication and logistics. Friggin' pricey too!

You heard right. It's actually deserved of another rant thread, but I won't. The communication was terrible. Like most of us, I do not mind when a job will be finished or delivered - I am extremely flexible because the bike is not an essential commuter. However, when I'm promised call backs to offer a time and no call comes and then a second call offers 'logistical problems' as an excuse, that's what gets my goat. Anyway, I've paid a whopping figure for a fuel tank (in fact much more than it would cost to buy @bazzashadow 's BSA) and it's loaded ready for delivery. Damn raining tomorrow, too.
As long as it lives up to expectations the cost and delay will soon be forgotten - keeping my fingers crossed that its as its all supposed to be. Looking forward to the pictures
