ive got a CBR 1000rr 2010 model which is standard apart from a racefit end can .
My local tuner says he can reflash the ecu .
Has anyone had this done after changing the can and what difference did it make?

Woolich racing kit and RB engineering are the guys for flashing the ECU, am guessing your tuner will be using there kit

Difference will be if tuned properly is that you won't have any flat spots and fueling will be right for the can

Not got an experience of it with a Blade, but generally a reflash will open up the ECU completely. On my R6 race bike, the throttle wouldn't open more than 80% in certain points on the rev range, even though the throttle would be on the stop. With the reflash, it allowed 100% throttle openings at all RPM. There are the obvious advantages of fuelling too. It is by far the best option if comparing it to a Power Commander. Dyno Jet are slowly catching up, but currently a reflash is the way forward. You can now also reverse a reflash too, which is something that hadn't been possible, so if you don't like the work done, you can revert back.

Jordan bikes in Leeds do the ECU remap. They have 2 variants I think. They do one without a dyno and one with a dyno.

Rich the Woolwich guy in the UK is spot on, albeit a bit tricky to get hold of sometimes.
He has done two ECU's for me before by post, one on a GSXR1000 and the other on a 4th Gen 10r and i was very impressed with what he did with out an actual dyno run.

I will be getting my Blade done by him over this winter

I only road ride but they were spot on for me.

Give a bell and talk things through with him
