Dudes, I have a 2013 blade with a Carbon Yoshi and a few other bits, I am looking to maybe go with a manifold as well for a little extra power and noise.

Will i need a remap to run a full system and if so do i need a PCV or can the standard ECU be mapped?

Also do I need to stick with Yoshimura or will any aftermarket manifold fit with my current exhaust?

    TIA.

Wouldn't bother with a manifold if it was me. But I would go get a decent map. Either use the ecu re flash by the rb engineering that get regular good reviews. Or get a pc/bazaar fuelling control and get it mapped by a mapper of your choice close to u. Always good recommendations around your area. If in Essex if used race engineering dunmow and in Norwich iv used track electronics. Both iv been very happy with

Thanks mate, I will look at RB engineering, they're only in Wakefield which is where I work so could be perfect.

    Thanks.

The stock manifold on the blade is pretty decent, but if you swap it with an aftermarket one (e.g. Akra) then you're changing the power profile to make it deliver more at the top end, but as a result it'll rob power from the low/midrange.

If you do do an exhaust swap, then it's worth getting it mapped in it's final configuration so it doesn't run the engine lean.

    >3 years ago I fitted a PCV on mine at the same time as my exhaust and downloaded the baseline map Dynojet had for my setup (Akra race slip-on & K&N), but it was running too rich at the bottom end. I could smell it over fuelling while sitting at traffic lights :)

So I took it in to a local service station which also has a Dyno and got a custom map ... and it's been 100% ever since :)

In fact ... here's a post about the process with charts and a link where you can download my custom map (at your own risk)

Thanks Callum, I had my last Blade put on the Dyno with a PCV and it was running lean, hunting for revs all the time so I didn't bother this time round. I'll probably just leave it now, just fancied the noise and grunt of a manifold but people are reckoning its not worth it.
