Hi, how difficult is it to remove the tank cover on a Fireblade 2011?

Mine needs a respray so need it off so that the sprayers can do this for me.

Please let let know how to do this.

    Thanks

    easy peasy,

remove seat , then remove two allen bolts holding the rear portion, then the two allen bolts at the front, either side of the HESD. Get fingers under the cover left and right then gently pull off!

Unclip the seat panels.Unscrew two philips screws securing seat on.5mm allen key to undo 4 allen screws 2 underseat and 2 at the sides near forks.
You literally pull it upwards off the tank filler seal.To replace I wet the tank filler seal so that the cover slides on easier.

just as an added note, there are two 'special' washers on the front, be careful not to let them fall into the fairing/engine compartment, easy to fall out nearly impossible to retrieve!
