EDIT For Group Buy List: So far we have.... Me - RR8 Andrew - RR6 GappySmeg - RR7 ChrisOzzz - 2012 JollyGiant - 2010 Kev.b - RR6 MikeRR - RR5 Arthurbikemad - RR7 My Original post..... Guys, I'm removing the exhaust servo as its not used/connected, so just wandering if there is a blanking plug to put in its place to make the ecu think its still there and not panic!! Cheers
I was just thinking of doing the same yesterday when i tool the pillion pegs off, hopefully someone will know
I've found one in the US, but it's 50 quid delivered. Someone in the uk must make one for a reasonable price!?
Not sure guys but, if I remember correctly its just a simple diode set up that plugs in. Go and befriend your local geek at Maplins,
I've seen an ebay link for one cheaper than that, perhaps we should see how many people want one and see if we can get a discount on them!
I've just checked and it is a servo buddy one and with the post it comes in at a tad under £50 I found another Uk seller making them for the CBR600RR and they are only £20 + £3.50 P&P I suspect they would both be the same, what do others think??
A group buy, big or small would be good. Mine is needed for the race bike a I'm going to be fitting an HRC sub frame, so the servo has to go. On the plus side I don't actually need it until next march, but I would like it sooner rather than later
I messaged the guy doing them for the 600RR's and he recons the fireblade ones are different as the resistance on the fireblade ones needs to be variable. BUGGER!!!
£50 is a lot of a few bits of wire and a pcb you could probably knock up in your garage! I've seen a wiring diagram on some us CBR site, I'll see if I can find it again and what's needed..... Or what will actually happen is, I will think na, f*** it, and just buy one!!!
I've found a chap over on 1000rr.net that makes them. $15 usd for a DIY kit, $30 usd for a ready build plug & play. I've asked about a possible group buy, so will keep you updated in this thread.
pdfruth's DIY Exhaust Servo Replacement Module (ESRM) : Honda CBR 1000RR Motorcycle Forums: 1000RR.net That's the kiddie I got mine from ............ pdfruth is his name
Sorry to hijack thread... Barry oh mentioned fitting the HRC subframe, I take it you'll b doing this with the standard loom and doing away with plastic battery tray etc? Been toying with the idea of HRC subframe but wasn't sure about how everything would fit etc. let me know. Cheers Dan
Yes, keeping the stock loom mate. I've already removed the stock one so all the electrics are just sittin on the tyre. I'm just waiting for the hrc one to turn up in the post, so ill get a few pic of it when it's in place.
Hi Barry, pics would be good mate!! Did you have to hack the plastic tray off or did you get to the fixings? Be good to see everything repacked once you are sorted, like I say very interested in doing this myself!
