Right, thought it was about time I fitted my Rental Clip ons I bought at Christmas!

Brought to a grinding halt almost immediately as I haven't got a 12mm Allen Key or Hex Socket to undo the Triple Clamp center nut, so a trip to Halfords Tomorrow is planned!

What I want to know is is it OK to drill the 2 or 3 5mm holes in the Renthal bars as is done in the standard steel tubes or do you cut out the locating nodules in the switch gear?

Two peeps have mentioned they thought U shouldn't drill Alloy tubes?

(This is for my Track Bike BTW)

I just cut off the plastic tabs on the switches, no drilling for me, but I would drill if I needed to drill!

Keeping the Tabs just makes the whole job a right Faff to do as all the holes required are all in diff places and then don't allow U to move things about when it's all set up and your sat on the bike thinking, "I wish I could just move that a bit"

Also if U have an off on a Track Day then wazzing a new clip on on would be far easier if no tabs are involved.
