I have heard conflicting info on air filters for the 08-11 blade. My question is is it worth fitting one, I was going to fit a BMC when I get the bike custom mapped next month, but some people have said the gains are non existant and your better off with the OE filter ?? also do they sound any different from the OE and which is best if I do go for it What do you lot think ?
Have put BMC on my rr6, bit more expensive than OE but can clean them rather than keep replacing them. Immediate increase of 10-15 miles further before fuel light comes on.
We have found that the Pipercross filters give a great improve in power and throttle response. Up to 7bhp from a filter, with dyno charts to prove it. Was considering doing a forum deal/group buy if enough interest?
Retail on Pipercross Filter for the RR4 - RR7 bikes is £83.12. We could do them at £65 in a group buy. Thats for the pair of filters for that model.
What about a 2010 blade and what's your experience of non pc3 standard bike with aftermarket pipe? Don't want to add the filter and the current fueling all of a sudden go out by miles.
08>11 filters are £53.44 Retail, could do them at £42 again in a group buy. I would need 10+ guys to commit to do a group buy on these. Without a group buy we can still do a discount but not as much. In terms of fuelling, I take it you are still running the Lambda sensor? If so it's not going to be a million miles away, you'll always benefit from having it mapped and set-up properly but it definately won't be a pig without doing it.
If you did a group buy and need 10+ I take it that it could it be a mix of different models as we had with the brake lines.

I think if this is going to be a common feature on the forum, jonny should start the thread in the traders section and control it, so we know exactly what is going on and so does he. I hope you agree, but I think there will be a few deals via this source over time and we need to have it organised from the off so all involved are happy
