After many weeks of late evenings in the garage we fired up the "new" motor for the first time, started second touch of the button. All the hard work and many hours replacing all main bearing shells, shimming and new plugs have proved to be worth every £££. Sounds like a Swiss watch, all we have to do now is fit the new radiator and body work and it'll be back on the road.
