hi guys Am after a bit of advice for my mate He has blown up his gixxer 1000 k8 engine and is looking at putting second hand engine in but was wondering what the process was ref engine numbers he is looking at a cosher engine from a crash damaged gixer which the lad has bought back from the insurance company but he is wondering what to do about engine numbers any help appreciated cheers Brian
I had to have a replacement engine in a car a few years ago, we sent all the details to DVLA so they could update the V5, took a couple of weeks to get back. Have a google, might be a pointer the the correct procedure.
Fill in log book with engine number change send a reciept from seller and a picture of new engine number pop in post couple weeks it will be updated
