Guys, I'm just embarking on the process of research before expecting to make a purchase around august time. I particularly like the Repsol and have been looking at a few on the net. Some of the bikes I've looked at appear to have the lower section of the fairing in black and some in blue. Is this just a model thing or an indicator that the bike has been painted and possibly been dropped? I've never seen a Chinese fairing in the flesh, so How do I determine if the bike has Chinese fairings on or the originals? Has anyone got any compatible photos to help illustrate the differences please? Anything else I should be watching out for on a 2009-2011 model. Cheers
As far as I'm aware the official colour for 2009, 2011, 2013 Repsols is a dark metallic blue (Pearl Siren Blue?). Obviously it changed this year. Also the only official model years for Repsols since 2008 is 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015.
Blue is the OEM colour through all years then changed to white this year. Black will be after market kit or spray job
Nose fairing is the give away for most Chinese replicas as they don't paint the underside either side of the screen.
Cheers guys,And7rp2, do you see the missing paint when looking at the clocks or when your stood at the front of the bike....? Being stupid, read it again.....reverse side under the screen....cheers
This looks as though it's been painted in the correct manner, but appears to be black http://www.gumtree.com/p/honda-moto...he-country-3711-miles-repsol-blade/1100160281
Looks original to me too........... Here's my 2011 Repsol (Same year as the one advertised). It always looks black unless your in the sunlight. Even in high definition it still looks black, but maybe that's my photography.... LOL
Cheers guys, as said, I'm just trying to do my research and learn. It's about 6 mths too soon and about £1200 more than I want to spend. Stunning looking bike though. Anything else I should watch out for when viewing? Cheers
