As threatened previously I've bitten the bullet and ordered the above for my RR5. I'll keep the thread updated for anyone interested and try and post pics of the build. Obviously not a lot will happen for the next month while I'm waiting for the fairing but thought I'd start the thread anyway :)

I've been doing the same for a long time now lol. Apparently the fit is supposed to be a lot easier on the 04-07 models. I'm getting it from Neverland and had one kit for £299 in my basket on their website for a few weeks until I got paid. Then when browsing eBay a couple of days ago I saw the same kit from them for £260, I have no idea why as I don't think it was exchange rates etc. so I've now ordered it and am looking forward to receiving it. I did get an email not five minutes ago saying it's rainy season in south China and so it will take two to three days longer which I don't mind as I just want it to be right :)

Just recieved a full set of plastics from these guys for rr5, Pramac racing colours. Have not started fitting yet but quality looks very good, will keep you posted as to how well it fits. We also had the rainy season excuse for late delivery but in fairness the longest delay was by UK customs not notifying us that the parts were in this country awaiting duty payment.

Just another quick note while thinking about it, probably the kit fits fine if fitting the whole kit but i wouldn't like to try and match pieces to any Honda panels.

To be honest Dave I didn't really consider buying separate parts and I don't even know if they'll sell parts individually. I suppose it would be a cheap alternative to OEM if they did.

Well it's with Customs currently and I'm waiting for a letter. Once finished it took three days to arrive here from China. Now it's been a week here, good old bureaucracy at its best :)

Looking forward to seeing how it goes. Customs are a pain in the ars*. I had to wait 3 weeks once before i got a letter asking for duty payment. Now waiting for the next wait as I have a part coming from Japan.

Good luck with them, ive eyed them up before also. Ive bought from Neverland before they are very good. Never fairing kit though but think it will be very nice! One area they seem to skimp on is the clear coat, sometimes not UV resistant so can fade over time. My fairing are from china and three years on still look good! Seems the paint is very tough, must be because its full of lead no health and safety and watered down paint there :)

I bought fairing from neverland for my nsr 250. The finish was excellent the only thing id day is that the plastic is quite brittle so take time fitting it, I also used grease on all the push fit pieces which help when removing.

Just had a notification that my parcel is awaiting pick up. I'm a bit miffed tbh as for £260 they want £60 import charges which I think is ridiculous. My old Two Brothers exhaust from America at £750 cost £40 in duties so I have no idea how it's so much. Anyway I'll post some pics when I go and get it.

Does seem extreme, is that a handling fee included in that though as some couriers charge this

I'm not sure to be honest Martin. I'm currently in Northern Ireland for a wedding and back on Saturday so I emailed them. Apparently it's £60 all in but I don't yet know how it's made up. Either way it's a tad pricey.

I`m not 100% sure but i heard a while back that there is an import duty and then vat on top of the purchase price + the import duty meaning you could be charged vat on an import tax...again i`m not sure but it would be very interesting how the robbing ba******...ooops sorry i mean our wonderful government break it all down....
It`s all very sad really isnt it that the chinese guys who make/spray/ship the item probably dont make anything near what the robbi...ermm wonderful government get...the robbing.........

I would like to know is there a list of import charges somewhere. I think VAT will be added that's 20 0/0 so on every£100.00p its an extra £20.00p just to start. I'll have a look on the .Gov site I'm sure It'll be easy to work out ...Ha,Ha.
    ...........Mike.

    ...........
    I've given up.
Gezzzzzz, I'm not going through that lot, it's a nightmare, just overcharge me!

Lol true Mike the VAT was 20% and then a handling charge which might have been the duty to pay. They marked the box $80 but in assuming Customs didn't believe that and charged me accordingly. Either way for £320 I can't complain.

Right the fairing is on, eventually. Took me about six hours all in but this could have been reduced if the previous owner had used copper slip on some of the bolts e.g. Front fender and rear hugger. The finish is very good considering the price paid but there is very little in the way of heat shielding and foam padding in certain areas so time will tell how that pans out. The fit was very good with a little fettering although I had to take the mid fairings off about five times as I used the original inner plastics and the well nut kept falling through the hole which had clearly got bigger over time. With hindsight I could maybe have used the new plastics but hey ho. I bought a new stainless fitting kit as some of my old fixings were corroded but you will need to take old rubbers and fittings from the original fairings. My tips would be the same as previously mentioned in that taking your time is important and patience is a virtue (not one of my strongest qualities). Some of the plastic clips on the inner fairing next to the radiator can be time consuming to line up and had me using words that made my wife laugh, I reckon I even made a few new ones up :) anyway not at all bad quality and for the 05 model putting it all together was really not that bad. I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of changing due to the oem's being chipped or pitted. If anyone has any questions please ask and I'll attempt to answer and I'll also attempt to add some pictures to this post lol. [IMG][IMG][IMG]
