    Aye....

Had just been out for a short run with the wife on the back and then another run by myself.

I take it you were the black blade at the lights just outside the Weavers? (my weekly drinking venue)

Was indeed mate. Was just out for a short spin myself.
Wife had just got home from work, and I had to make a quick escape.
Had a wee run to Muirkirk, and down to Douglas.
Was a fair few bikes about, especially at Douglas.
    Your bike looked ace mate.

Thanks.... it needs washed.... yours is very shinny :)

There was a good few bikes around.... I had just had a run to Darvel, then E/K, back to Strathaven, Hamilton and home.

The Murkirk road is good.... well apart from...... **rant alert**

Resurfaced area near Dungavel - the cats eyes are far to raised - mini feckin mountains.
Resurfaced area after Dungavel - lulls you into a false sense of having good roads to play on and then lo and behold the resurfacing stops and it's back to pot hole dodging again.
Car drivers..... no need to be specific with that
Farmers.... do they have to leave so much crap on the roads
    etc etc

Anyhoo...... mini rant over..... still a fun road especially if you continue from Douglas out towards Lanark and then to Biggar...... then you just feel the urge to head to Moffat...... then.....

And so it goes until you return home and the wife says ...... ½hr.... that's what you said.... ½hr .......... Oops :)

Thanks, it's just been in at Powa Paints at Strathaven getting some areas touched off after the wife came off it.
Needs a good wash now after today though.

Yeh I know what you mean, but it's still a far better resurfacing job than that's effort on the road to Darvel.
Is it still all loose chips ?
It is weird on that Muirkirk Road why they didn't just continue the resurfacing.
Didn't have time to go on to Biggar or Lanark although I usually do.
It's a nice wee regular circuit I normally do.
I did like that Darvel road until the last time I went down it.
Maybe catch up sometime for a run, as long as you don't mind stopping to wait for me to catch up. Hahahahahaha.

Need to get out for a run with the wife. Her 600RR hasn't even done 2,000 miles yet.

The Darvel road is now ok regarding the loose chips.... although it did cost me £75 excess for the car's windscreen (still fighting with the council over that - don't think they liked it when I pointed out that the morning they did the resurfacing there's was one car in the field and two near misses I witnessed!)

Strange that the rest of the resurfacing work was good .... just that stretch leaving Strathaven was soooooo feckin bad........ the day my windscreen was smashed I would have highsided into a field if I'd been on the bike ....... but it's possible that my poor riding would have been to blame ;-)

Would be good to meet up for a run sometime and I don't imagine you'd hold me up ;-)

I go out for runs with the ROSPA E/K group every now and again (although, quite often, I do end up meeting up with then at the next destination when they get there - nothing to be proud of :( )

Not a bad group to out with (regular runs and yearly weekend trip) although I do get pelters for not having sat my advanced test with them

Not managed to persuade my Mrs to get her licence.... says if she was twenty years younger she would.... even tried to persuade her that DucatiGlasgow has a Repsol 125 and it would look cute next to mine.... that almost worked :p women!!!!

    Bloody hell.
I left Strathaven and ripped up that straight, then came to loose chips.
    Was fecking cacking it.

I have had enough of tests for this, that and the other.

Ach tell your missus to get it done.
What a waste if she wants to do it, and doesn't just because she isn't as young as she used to be.
We are both in our 40's, but get us on those bikes and we are like a couple of teenagers. Lol.
Mine grew up with Hizzy as a pal, so she was always destined to ride bikes.

    Hopefully catch up sometime anyway.
