Got talking to my mrs mates husband who's got his own company, does powder coating to! So I got him to do these for me, wanted to go with the theme of the bike and keep some of the stainless bits(bit Rizoma esq). For looks and serviceability, as even the Gilles black foot pegs wear quite easily and looks cack. Only thing I'm a bit gutted about is he couldn't do the gear lever arm as it would have melted the rubber boot on the rear that covers the ball joint for the linkage arm. But for a freebie I'm chuffed!
looks sweet. You can do the gear lever arm mate, i had mine done without the rubber melting, you just cover it in a heat proof thingy majig. I had to have silver anyway as i lost the newly coated one, and can i hell find it!
I'll ask him about wheels, cheers gents, Si did u pull it off, I'm guessing he didn't have the thingymajig lol
No mate, i left the rubber on, and got it back ok. I lost it though, as well as the rubber from the gear shift. I had to swap them from the standard rear sets. Can't find them anywhere!
