If anybody's thinking of heading into mid-Wales along the A44 this summer why not break your journey by swinging off the by-pass into Kington town? The Oxford Arms (Oxford Arms | Home) does good food and real ales, rear parking, plus, the 'gaffer's' a biker. Further into town, The Burton Hotel ( 1 Mill St, Kington, HR5 3BQ) has lots of parking space and outside tables at the rear and is open to non-residents. During the summer months I often see bikers whizzing along the by-pass into Wales and think, maybe if they knew they'd find a welcome they'd visit this quite little back-water. So ride into town next time your in this neck of the woods boys. You'll be glad you did.
Disclaimer:- Other than being a customer at these places I have no connection with them whatsoever.
    ATB, Nick.
