    Hi guys.
Yesterday was the first time out on my RR5. I covered around 130 miles and didn;t my body just know it!!

I've done a couple of hundred miles in one go on my ZX6R with littlewrist & leg ache, but after an hour of spirited B road riding on the Blade I was starting to ache in my back & legs. I moved around the bike a lot to reduce this, but short of buying adjustable rear sets is there anything I can do?

is it your first ride in a while?

sounds daft, but just ride more often! i ache when i havent rode for a while, then after a couple of weeks you become conditioned to it.

I went from a 600RR5 to a 1000RR and both were comfy bikes,

But it all depends on your riding posture..

I always try to straighten my back whilst riding at slow speeds and dangle mt legs off the pegs and rotate my ankles... I know this sounds daft but it works for me. Just my opinion.

I hope you get use to your blade :)

All the low speed stuff kills my body, I just cant get comfy. Its not too bad on the mway, I just tuck in and rest my arms on my knees, and sometimes let my legs just flail behind me. Thru villages etc I usually sit with a straight back and rest my left arm on my knee or the tank. Twisties are sound, busy climbing all over the bike.

Have you adjusted the bar and lever positions to suit your shape?

My last blade must have been owned by a midget with stunted arms... rode around for weeks getting back/wrist ache, before deciding to adjust the bar positions out a little bit, and the levers down a touch... made the world of difference!

    Thanks guys.
I've not ridden for a few weeks just while I kept the Ninja off the road to sell, but normally I ride just about every chance I get (I did 16k in 2 years on the Ninja). I stretch my legs on the bike, move around a lot and try to sit upright in the 30's taking weight off my arms, I've also adjusted the levers but not the bars. Maybe I should try more excercise, but I was hoping that biking would be my mobile gym :-D

My rr5 is more comfortable than my last bike daytona 955, I have ridden all day with no problems, just my eyes from being on stalks permanently, I am 6'2" and 14 stone, its almost a sports tourer lol

Yes the clip ons (handlebars) can be loosened so you can pivot a little bit then tighten back up... When loose, just sit on the bike and put them in as natural a position as your body wants it... Might be tricky keeping it in the right place, and tightening at the same time...

I moved mine back 20mm from standard and I haven't had cramp since. I used to always cramp up after an hour or so on the bike, but since moving them back I can ride for so much longer.

    Lol ^^^
problem is that you can only forget the pain for so long, you have to slow down eventually, then it hits you again.

I got to agree with the taking the bike out more. I ache if I've not been out for a while.

But found my 2011 blade bloody comfy for a sports bikes. Being 6ft 2 and not small it fits me well

I agree. I'm planning on taking the bike out for the first time in weeks tomorrow night and am fully expecting cramp in my shins, especially. Then on Thursday, I'm planning on running down to Paignton bike night and I doubt I'll get even a twinge.

Just done another 60 mile stint. I don't plod along, but i still got minor leg ache. I think it feels like my knees are more bent more on this bike as if to suggest a cramped seating position.

The distance from foot peg to seat is shorter on the Blade than it was on my GSX-R meaning a more cramped position, rear sets will sort it.
