This is an event for bikers on Remembrance Sunday 9th November 2014 The aim is to again form a circle of bikers dressed in red riding Anti-Clockwise around the M60 making the biggest Poppy in the World. The ride is intended to present a physical show of support for our Armed Forces, both current and previous. Not every biker goes to a remembrance service on this day, but most Respect our armed service men and women. This is just another way of showing it. The Ring of Red event was an idea by Julia Stevenson, a well known respected biker who, along with her co-founder Anne Cole, organises the Ride of Respect Rideout. Julia is also the founder of the annual Lee rigby Memorial Ride to Woolwich. Julia is assisted by a team of admins who all help organise the different events. It is a non-profit event with all monies raised from the donations to this event this year will be donated to the charity 'Walking with the Wounded'. Every £2,000 raised will be put to First Steps which has been designed to provide enhanced training and vocational skills to help a veteran with the support on the journey into employment after leaving the armed forces. The M25 ride will be meeting at variuos points shown on the web site THE M60 RING OF RED RIDE WILL BE MEETING AT BIRCH SERVICES ON THE M62 AT 11AM & WILL BE LEAVING PROMPTLY AT 1300 HRS TO GET ALL THE BIKERS RIDING ROUND THE M60 ANTI-CLOCKWISE BY 1330 HOURS So, whos going, I am? Nice idea to try it outside the M25, I'll be at my local 11am service though which doesn't give me time to make it to Birch but hope they get a good turnout.
Will try and make it to this - Blade has no brakes so will be on the R1, just got to find red shirt to go over jacket lol
This one doesn't I'm selling a car, waited in all morning for a no show! Why is Ebay full of twats? Truly gutted I couldn't make it
