As above. Thank you for being a big important part of my childhood.

I was fortunate enough to go and see Thunderbirds being made a couple of times as a kid as the father of one of my classmates was involved in the production. Always been a fan, still am even now.

    R.I.P

I actually thought he already was dead and his ashes shot
Into space but then realised that I'm thinking of gene Roddenberry.
Be very fitting if they done the same for him.
I always was a big fan of his and peter wragg's work.
Favorite being captain scarlet and stingray.

Yeah I seen the red dwarf tribute.
Two great set designers/special effects artists in a year.

I hate cryptic exchanges. Hmm, thinking about which members remind me of which International Rescue operatives...

Just read the news, the man was a hero. Remember his early work with affection, loved Four Feather Falls and Supercar. R.I.P.

I never really got the whole thunderbirds thing, but I do know a guy here in our very own Blackpool, who is mad on it, I remember one very tedious party with my ex wife's friends husband who at the time if I remember correctly had just spent thousands of pounds on an origanal puppet from the show.

I'm more antique than vintage Ken, we had the only tv on our small prefab estate, a 405 line single channel jobbie and all the neighbours used to come round to watch stuff (back in '53 when I was born).

It's a way of ageing yourself like the rings in a tree. The first AP Films production you have physical memories of. I go back as far as Supercar. Knowledge of Twizzle and Four Feather Falls came after I was hooked. Fireball made me want to be an astronaut and that interest stays with me as a huge, thick anorak even today. That's pretty bloody strong influencing in anyone's book. My brother (fish boy) has always had an urge to be a WASP officer, since Stingray, but it was the moment I saw Thunderbird 2 that I realised that my life would only truly be complete when I worked for International Rescue.

Twizzle, with his brake down truck and Footso the cat, and Torchie the battery boy started the change from the BBC's Watch With Mother stuff by having proper adventures.
