So I should get my painted track fairings back next week so plan to strip my bike down ready for fairings and conversion to track bike .

I am planning to put a day time mot on it so will keep the horn but tape up/cable tie up all lighting wiring etc.

What do I do with the air intakes as at the Moment they fit to the road fairings but as track fairings are pretty basic there is nothing to attach them to .

While I have it stripped down I will remove rear pillion pegs.

My plan over the winter is to either fit full brembo brake kit or ohlins suspension which would you do first as its not a cheap upgrade.

I get terrible brake fade on track where my brake lever is nearly touching my throttle grip but have just replaced the front pads with EBC sintered hh pads so will see how they are,I have braided lines so will see what difference there pads make.

jason, you can buy just the intakes in carbon. Ebay come up often with them, around £100.

search cbr1000rr carbon or cbr1000rr intakes.

Buy intakes standard ones are just meant for road fairings you can use them but too many tabs etc to break off . Www.crcfairings.co.uk suspension first then brakes then the list goes on buddy when the bug has bit a chunk out your arse lol

Too late i stripped all the fairings/lights etc off today ready for the track fairings I removed the rear pillion pegs while I was at it , but I plan to put a daytime mot on it so u can still use it on road .

Question I have on each side you have the air intakes inside those you have a silver valve thingy which has a breather pipe and a electrical conection do I need to refit these as not sure what they do as bike seems fine without them.

    Here you go:

ROGUE RACING CBR1000RR Intake Flapper Valve page

its not the pair system, it's the total flapper removal, silly me. Lee and I did mine as I have a pcv, and the bike was mapped with it removed/blanked off in the airbox.
