I am not the greatest or the fastest rider in the world, steady plodder should probably be the best way describe my riding style. About 7 years ago I attended the RHRS on the 600s. Once again steady plodder would be the best way to describe my on track experience, but the guy that was going out with us chose not to go out after his first session, so I can't have been that bad. My problem then is the same problem that I have now. Being of the older generation, grounding your footrest was the best way to show your biking skills, non of this knee down elbow down malarkey. I have mental block that doesn't allow me lean to the N'th degree. My chicken strips are only about 5mm but looking at other people's chicken strips I have a small amount to go, but that small amount is a long way off, so I'm going to Donnington and have a bit of one to one tuition. I don't want to break any lap records just learn to get it cranked over properly. I am excited already, August is a long way off.
Good luck with the school please let us know how you get on As its my big 50 this year and I was thinking of doing that For my birthday
Big 5 0 for me to Clarkey. I have promised myself that I would do this for years and finally got around to it. I will post a report the day after, if all goes well I will be looking at booking the elite class later in the year.
When I previously did the RHRS I did the 600. I did find it frustrating when out on track you'd just be getting to your favourite bit ie Craner Curves and you'd have to pull to the side to let the Elite 1000s through. I don't know if they still do that. But it was a bit annoying.
we already talk about something like that on one other post but nobody start it ...we should make a perment post that we all say when we going so if someone else want to go from forum can meet up and book together ...i am still thinking of doing it couse i dont want to go alone will be boring probobly P so i look for day thatmight others come ...and also only if i can bring my gear up here (dont like to wear others ppl gear )
I am going on April 10th as a b'day present. Which i don't really know about as not my b'day till later in March I am a steady eddy too I have done track days in cars in the past but this will be a challenge Will post my experience as soon as I have done the day
