Today, i did something i haven't done for probably 15 years... I bought a magazine... One of them archaic glossy overpriced things they sell in newsagents... What drew me was the heading, "THE ORIGINAL MOTOGP REP, FIREBLADE", with the under heading of, 2004-2007 CBR1000RR Based on Rossi's RCV !

Really good read to give yourself a hard on all over again for your older beastie ! And interesting facts i didn't know about its design, how it changed so much from the original, and how it was born side by side with the racing division etc back in the early naughties..

All in all a well worth the journey to the newsagents in the morning to set you up for a sunday afternoon with your feet up and a cup of tea

 

I sometimes buy Superbike, but was drawn in by the Performance Bikes cover. Was a great article, and actually a very good magazine. Might buy it more often.

Did you get the Fireblades magazine too? My newsagent didn't have it in stock so I've ordered it (details are on the final page of Performance Bikes)

Performance Bikes I get monthly but do only read interesting to me articles can't be arsed with road tests or gear tests but it is prob the best monthly. You should consider getting MCN quarterly race mag that is a good all round read.

 

I finally managed to find somewhere locally that sells this magazine

I brought a copy of this at Gatwick Airport on the way to the Dominican in late November, I parked it in the hotel room as I didn't want it to get any sandy sweaty finger marks on it but when we got back home I couldn't find it, I think the room maid must have stolen it. Still, she did a good job with the rose petals on the bed so I will forgive her.......almost, but I want my tip back.
