    Hi All

I am very close to buying my first 1000rr. I have found a mint Repsol rr5 with only 6k miles. I would like a rr6 model but the funds will not stretch that far.I have tried to do a bit of research on the rr5 but could not find a buyers guide. The only thing i found was the sump corrosion problem, there was lots of talk about it on forums but then it all went quiet did the problem get sorted?

Don't know if they sorted it or if it was just a case of poor maintenance and use in area;s with stones/salt/etc.. I have seen some that look....suss but none that leak.. I don't think they suffer from any "look out for's" well nothing you would not check on any other bike... Fork seals,(leaks) rear shock(leaks), suss action, head stock play, wheel bearing play, chain and sprok condition, brakes condition and ware level, engine sound, service history, frame number, docs are the sort of things I check for..

Can you see the sump plug without removing any plastics?
