    Hi Guys,

Fitted my new fairing to the blade today, all OEM which had been resprayed!
Previously i had Jap Crap, all the fairing had melted on the belly, thought it was due to poor fit and generally poor plastics however it appears it must be something else, after fitting the fairing today the exhaust is touching the left lower belly pan?????
Ive fitted heat reflective padding, after sparking the bike up for a while the belly pan was almost too hot to touch :(
Is it right for the left belly pan to be so close to the exhaust?
    Anyone got any advice?

    Thanks
    Scott

NO not if its touching the fairing as it will still melt it, there needs to be a gap so that the hot air can flow away while riding, I always thought?

mine comes close to touching the fairing on the left side too but there is a gap, not sure if that heat shield is to think also, the its meant to reflect heat i thick, and still needs a gap, might best with thinner shield?

Standard fairing has a thin piece of metal, like a plaque on a trophy if I remember correctly

We use self adhesive aluminium foil on vulnerable areas, about as thick as heavy kitchen foil, if you want some pm your address and i'll get some in the post to you.;)
