Today I took a test ride on a 2010 HRC at Grantham Honda they want £7830 and they have offered me £4100 for my RR5 with 3200 miles and in immaculate condition. The HRC felt a little quicker and seamed lighter and sharper on the bends, I did notice the slipper clutch which I did like. I have just serviced my bike and I have brand new tyres, they would not swap them should I buy the new bike! My Blade has done 1500 miles more and to to be fair the condition is comparable in spite of the age difference? My wife has given the red light so what's stopping me, as soon as I got home I took my bike out and the decision was made.

I would love the 2010 but it is not £4000 + interest better than the bike I have. I haven't any debt and my bike owes me nothing.

My heart wants the HRC my head says don't be daft, may be next year?

On another note Grantham Honda have a VFR that has been professionally painted with Repsol colours, take a look guys, whether you like the VFR or not you have to say it looks au-sum

Only you can decide wether or not to change.:) if it means getting into debt to get a bike that your not sure on, then personally I would save up and be debt free.

I agree with the above..... when the '' one '' comes along your current bike will be a distant memory.

Great advice guys, thanks. I'm going to enjoy my current blade for a little while longer, and lets face it, it's an older model but as new anyway and I loved the bike before and after the HRC test ride.

Two days on and I'm relaxed about the status quo. I don't have finance and that's the way I like it, and to be fair I have just bought a second house to rent out so best get a tenant before a new bike

Carl, right decision mate IMO, the fact you are questioning it tells me everything, besides better to have no finance and your man hood where it should be, rather than a loan for a bike you can’t even ride as the Mrs. has re worked your dick up your own arse. Red means stop in my world.

Plus you could aways add a few tweeks to your current bike to bring it closer to the late bike

But the HRC is a HRC ????? Buy it and you can join the elite club lol

It does sound like you have made the right choice, no need to change if what you have is just as good :)

Do you know what, I have had enough thinking about a new bike, it's a great deal but my bike has new rubbers mot tax and I've just serviced it, a new bike is not worth 6k more than mine, or at least to me anyway? Honda called me again today and I have said no! Stick with mine for another year! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1334589789.618465.jpg
