    Hi all
Sorry to be a nusiance again.I have done searches and asked questions and i have found a lot of info about model differences etc
But how can i tell an rr6 from an rr7?
Is there a difference in chassis no? eg. you can find an rr6 registered 07.but how do itell for sure if it is rr6 or rr7?
I know an rr7 is supposed to have a black swingarm as an rr6 should have silver but i've seen 06 reg bikes with black swing arm?
Also when it comes to repsol model , 07 is to have a silver chassis and swing arm ? But is a way to tell for sure? different chassis no?
    Thanks in advance

According to Lings Honda, the chassis numbers for UK bikes are as follows:

    RR6: JH2SC57A*6M6M200001-6M299999

    RR7: JH2SC57A*7M7M300001-7M399999

As far as I am aware there are no differences between the RR6 and the RR7 models apart from colour schemes.

There was not a Repsol in RR6 models, Repsols I believe were made in odd number years ie 05 07 etc.

My RR6 has a black swing arm.

    Hope that helps.

Cosmetic changes between 06 to 07 . The later ones don't handle any better or go faster than the early ones.

The HRC colour scheme ones are a bit faster than other colour schemes

The RR6 and RR7 have absolutely no differences except paint scheme's. If buying just ask the owner to check the V5.

I have an 07 Repsol, which has a black frame and silver swingarm. When I did my research I initially thought they all came with a silver frame, but Honda confirmed this wasn't the case. The only real way is to tell via the vin number. That said if it's a 1000rr, there really isn't much difference you would notice unless you started racing them on the track.

I know about the repsol having a silver frame and i have seen many with black frame too but i noticed in pics of rr6 and rr7 that repsol and the HRC coloured bikes have a showa sticker on the front fork legs and on the back shock but i dont see any sticker on the other e.g black and black/red etc....just wondering if there was any difference in the suspension units? or are they all the same.I would have thought they would be the same
