I've never been happy with the front indicators on my bike the previous owner fitted flush mount fronts, but you can hardly see them from the front. So not wishing to get caught up in an accident where someone doesn't realise where i'm going I decided to try and fit a pair of 08 onwards mirrors. I order a pair of mirrors but on receiving them I can't easily fit them to my bike as the mountings are totally different, so not wanting to chop around my bike too much i've given in and decided to resell the late mirrors. So a couple of days later i've spotted and bought a pair of 2011 ZX10R mirrors as they mount in the same way as mine, the mirrors will need slight modification as the hole centres are further apart on the Kawazaki's mirrors! These are the same as i've got: eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace so what are your opinions on these good or bad?
I think they should suit the angular look of the RR6. Don't forget to post up some pics when you have them fitted.
You can get intergrated mirrors for 07 blades + 07 to 11 cbr600 rr on ebay mate.. they bolt straight on and you just wire up behind the headlights
Any chance of a link to the ones you've seen, i found a few pairs on there but they were all based in China etc. I quite fancied some manufacture made ones as the quality is generally better, even tho they are off a Kawazaki !!
I think they are all going to be chinky ones mate. Never seen genuine ones as those models never had them. try 1000rr.net to see if Clear alternatives etc sell them
If you don't fancy the Chinese ones, how about these? FAR :: Homepage I believe they make OEM mirrors for Ducati.
A very late thread revival, but here's the final results of my mirror swop! If you notice the picture with the indicators lit you can barely see the flush mounted side indicators, so I'm well happy with the improvement.
That looks nice mate. Which option did you choose in the end, the chinese ones intended for the blade or the kwak ones you originally had??
I went with the ones from the 2011 ZX10R as I think the angular lines of the mirrors fit in well with the angular front of the 04-07 blade. They took a fair bit of work to get fitted and the paint where I had to repaint the arms after removing some metal isn't the best match in the world, but they'll do for the time being.
