    Went for the first proper ride Sunday on my RR7 since I got her a few weeks ago and confirmed a few impressions I got when I picked her up, the main one being loads of wind blast. Enough wind blast that I regard it as a problem I've got to solve. I'd have problems living with it tbh.

    Can anyone identify the screen I've got fitted? I assume it's not standard, no name anywhere on it I can see, it's a very nice quality screen, fits perfect, I think it looks great but just doesn't cut it for protection. I'm average height 5' 9".

    I've done a search and seen a few screens DB screens which look good but the screen I've got already looks like a double bubble. I def' don't want a big ugly 'flip' type of screen.

    Any suggestions?

    I know skidmarx do a john mcguinnes type screen for the 08 onwards bike, not sure about prior models, I've got a zero gravity double bubble on my 07 and at 5'11" I'm happy with the protection from the blast from it.

    A quick google search later, it seems that zero g make the taller one for ya;

    I've heard of a 'John McGuinness' screen before, what's that?

    Stops wind blast coming over the screen by making it go under the bike! ;)

    Cheers mate, the sport touring doesn't look too bad. Let me guess, the bloke on the bike? that would be McGuinness right? Wouldn't have that screen tho' I'd rather look cool and have the wind blast.

    I'm trying a few different screens at the moment after wanting a dark one and breaking my clear zero gravity one, just ordered one from the carbon king company who are selling of slight imperfections screens for 24.98 inc p&p. Altho they do look similar to the size of yours.

    Mike, I would put money on that being a Zero Gravity screen... I have one on my HRC RR7, and it looks EXACTLY like that.

    Surprised to hear you're struggling with the wind blast, I have no problems......

    Cheers. Don't know why the wind blast is so heavy because I also have a 03/R1 (selling it, but still got it) which has an MRA double bubble and the frontal area of the bike/screen is very similar to the RR7. I've sat on both bikes and measured the head to screen distance and it's within an inch. The R1 has a slightly higher/wider fairing area but there ain't much difference between the two overall but the wind blast difference is very noticable.

    Suppose I can only try something like the Skidmarx sport touring above.

    How tall are you?
