CastrolCraig has got me thinking seriously hard about dropping an RR8 front end into my SP2 and as I have'nt got access to my bike at the minute I was wondering if somebody could do me a favour.

What are the diameters of the RR8 fork at the upper and lower triple clamp ? From internet searching I think they are 50mm & 54mm respectively but if someone could check on their actual bike it would be much appreciated.

Cheers for any help that can be offered :D

Thanks Bats & Shamless all comments are much appreciated.

I personally think the ebay guy is wrong with the 56mm dimension and as he is only a breaker I would'nt take his comments as fact personally. Thanks for the comment and help though Shameless.

The top dimension for the SP2 fork is definitely 50mm (see attached Harris size chart) the bottom dimension which Bats measured for me is I m confident 54mm as A, Bats physically measured it B, most japanese bike forks are 50/54. And if the diameter at the top of the fork was 56mm as the ebay breaker suggests it would never pass through the bottom triple clamp which is 54mm.

Thanks again for all your help guys.

I had to go out to the garage and check, tops are 50mm and lower is 54mm, checked with callipers. Checked a spare 05 front leg I have and that is the same.
