I have the tail tidy on and next I want some LED rear indicators and also I will fit LED bulbs to the mirror repeaters too.so can anyone recommend rear ones that are good and bright and also any good flash correction relays. cheers
Not to sure about a good relay, but these are pretty much what I'd be looking at indicator wise. Rizoma stuff is great quality. Rizoma Billet motorcycles parts from Italy. - moorespeedracing.co.uk
cheers for that, need to also pull the bulbs out of the front as the manual gives you no info about the bulb tyre i.e. offset location pins
Can't help so much on the front bulb situation but this may be what your looking for relay wise. MOTORCYCLE LED INDICATOR RELAY - HONDA OEM BLOCK TYPE | eBay
Might be able to work out what bulbs they are from this:- Honda Motorcycle Parts / Genuine Honda Parts | Honda Cars | Honda Motorcycles | Honda Power Products | Lings Honda
see I have the full manual but it gives the same info, 12v 21w but this doesnt say what pins they have so I thing the only way is to pull the bulb out.I want to put in led's in the front to get rid of the amber look. something like these 581 - 360 Degree Amber LED Bulb (pair)
1156-offset pin I think from this thread on 1000rr.net... 1000RR.net - View Single Post - anybody change bulb color in mirrors???
this thread reminded me to fit the bulbs I got, got these to get rid of that orange look from the stock mirrors 2 Light Bulb Lamp 1156 BAU15S 12V 13 5050 SMD LED Amber | eBay
Phantom, would those LED bulbs require any other modification to go in the front indicators, or straight swap?
should be a straight swap and if you have the standard rear bulbs the flash rate shouldnt be affected.....well wasnt on my last blade. I'll get them fitted then post the results here
That would be smashing, Phantom. I'd like to replace my rear indicators with LED's too (and my tail light, come to think of it) so I shall be glad to hear of your experience.
If you change the rear ones too then you will definitely have to change the relay for one of them flash correction ones.
Fitted them today and far brighter than standard but even with the standard rear Flashers the flash rate is too fast.so I have to get the relay changed now
got the relay fitted today and got the new bulbs in. very happy with the results before after and a wee vid to show how bright they are
Hi Phantom, nice looking clear front indicators, I've read the post and searched the forum for tips, I am going to buy 2 pairs and change front and rear as the shape of the OEM rears is ok for now as I can't find and led replacements that I really like... so my question is - is the indicator relay in the nose cone of the 08> Blade? I don't remember seeing it under the seat? Thanks
