Hello all, My Repsol 2009 RR9 has black marks under rear seat cover off where its rubbed through. Its on both corners either side of lock. Any one else had this and fixed with sticker rather than getting painted. If yes what stickers have you applied??
The seat cowls are usually supplied with transparent plastic film....."supplied to obviously stop it rubbing"....?? so some venture shield style of transparent plastic ??
Any pics of the damage? Could you not get away with touching in the damage and applying some venture shield type vinyl?
Ive got little black rubber bits glued to the rear around the bit where the cowl or seat sits on the rear plastic, this stops it rubbing n u can pick up these bits from poundland or summat
Think it must be something to do with the seat itself? I never had a problem with the seat hump rubbing, but I had the pillion seat fitted for a total of 20 days, and it's rubbed like mad. Admittedly it's not visible with either fitted, but damn annoying when you remove it and it's staring you in the face!
mine had marks from the pillion seat but the seat cover hides it so I dont worry about it too much.you can buy colour matched touch up paint online.
Will try to find some Gel stickers or something. It is off the seat cover and not the seat. Bike must not have had clear protective sticker applied.
