Thanks to the Chaps at Racebikebitz both me and my teamster Gaz have a set of shiny Blue Coolant hoses, now his fitting guide for his BMW isnt really relevant but i thought id post up my experiences.... First of, comes the Kit and a bag of size matched lightweight hose clips, Then its time to strip the fairing off..... At which point you simply match them hose for hose... Now some say you need to totally remove the tank and airbox to fit the small feeder hoses on the nearside, you dont, just lift the tank then you can have access to all. Fitting was very straightforward, all the hoses are of excellent quality and are shaped and the the right length, the 07 kit comes with 11 hoses, plus a clip for each end..... i also gave the coolant system a flush with Evans Prep fluid, cracking stuff this! the finished product... Whilst everything was off i decided to tidy up the front sub loom amd fit my HRC fairing mount & coolant bottle claw. Overall id give the Samco kit a solid 9/10 really really well made stuff and its helped with the temp, pre hoses and prep fluid flush it ran at 89 degrees after 5 minutes staionary running (no fan) after the hoses were fitted and it was flushed with Evans Prep Fluid (also from racebikebitz) it runs at 74 degrees after the same time. Also commend Richard from Racebikebitz for his prompt service and fast delivery, really spot on guy who has a passion and enthusiasm for bikes, not just out to make a buck or two from those of us who ride them!
Hey CastrolCraig, I'm glad you got your kit to fit your 07. I noticed you said 11 hoses? Should be 12 mate. The HON-11 kit is actually for the 04-05 bike which I found out when attempting to fit it to my bike. I agree that Richard at Racebikebitz is a great guy. He has taken all my original hoses and given them to Samco to produce a new set for the 06-07 model Blade. http://1000rr.co.uk/mods-upgrades-accessories-products/4514.htm Check out my picture in post #48
Yeah i brought a set for my 06-07 and i had to cut one of them down to fit all fit perfect now but bottom rad pipe on left was double the length it should of been.
Yours is the same as my earlier one aswell the little pipe coming off filler neck to top radiator always crimps up i messed about with this for ages and left it in the end
