Was out this morning with the wife and eldest when we had a panicky phone call from a tearfull eldest. Apparently the TV had just fallen forward on its own. Dashed home, with a "yeah right I'm sure the TV committed suicide" comment of two, but it had!!! Luckily the TV itself appears to have survived it's death leap.

Did a search on the interporn and it looks like we aren't the first, including a recall in Australia, so if you have a Samsung TV it might be an idea to check the stand for cracks.

Our was a 2009 46" LED, so I am currently watching the MotoGP on a spare 32" we had, bit of a shock I can tell you.

Believe it or not I think I have a couple of spares of those. Our old Samsung 40" TV (currently bolted to my son's bedroom wall) was originally delivered with a chipped stand, so after we complained they sent a replacement - twice! It looks like the same stand in your pic to me, but if you are in need of a new one for the cost of the postage then let me know. I currently have 3 of 'em lol :D
