As above. Anyone know if there is a dedicated socket for a feed to a Sat nav ?, or where is the best place to take a feed from?, I want it to power-up
when the ignition is switched. Cheers.

Easiest and most future proof option is to fit an Optimate charging lead to your bike.

Run this to the pillion underseat area then buy the Optimate USB lead and then run this from the Pillion underseat area up the bike and under the Tank cover and mount in the Dash area.

This way you can plug in/charge anything you like as all devices nowadays use a standard USB port connection.

The Optimate lead has built in electronics that energise it and de-energise it when the ignition is switched.

Is it best to fit the wires under the tank cover to the left or right. I have seen on my 14 blade that where most of the wires come from.

I ran the USB lead from the rear under pillion seat area to the Dash are via the right hand side of the Tank cover using a few Zip Ties.

The reason you run the Charging lead from the Battery to the under pillion seat area is so you have easy access to disconnect the USB lead which would be permanently connected in general and connect up the Optimate charge lead when the Bikes off the road for any length of time.

I mounted my Optimate to the underside of the Garage ceiling directly over my bike so the charge leads then drops straight down to it and connects up with no trailing leads to trip over etc.
