I want a Sat Nav for the Blade for my road trip to Italy in june, and after looking around, there isn`t a ram mount or anything else available for the 2008-2011 blade due to the 24mm diameter hole in the headstock, most go upto 20mm (too small) and then jump to 28mm (too large). So, if anyone is interested, you can get a Telferizer mount from:

The Telferizer Custom Motorcycle RAM mounts for GPS Systems That he will do for any bike.

Since my iPhone has Tomtom europe on it, i have ordered this to mount on the Telferizer mount:

Waterproof Tough Case for iPhone 4S & 1" Female connector for RAM Bike Mounts | eBay

It goes on the standard RAM fixing, and is waterproof etc... I will use the existing usb charger that i have underneath the cowl, and wire it in so i can charge the phone as i ride, and also have the bluetooth enabled so i can have the voice instructions through my scala g4 wireless headset.

Just a heads up really if anyone is thinking of doing this.

    Cheers!

Tom Tom is yeah as the maps are on your phone . what gets you huge bills is youyr apps trying to get internet data and using that countries networks with out permission .

Either set it up with your network or just turn off data roaming on the phone and you will be fine

+1 for the Telferizer RAM mount. Fits snugly in the headstock and doesn't need any fixing, just twist it in and when you want to remove it then just twist it back out, although it's that unobtrusive I leave mine in. The positioning is perfect too and can see the clocks just fine with the Zumo on.

Another recommendation for the Telferizer, superb bit of kit, used one on my last two bikes along with a Garmin Zumo which is top drawer too.

Had a ram mount with my desire in a cradle on the Daytona 650 and i loved it. Was looking at these mounts for the blade next year, thanks Si, might invest in a garmin too. I have Co pilot on my droid and the routing is odd to say the least!

I used tyre to create a route with waypoints, imported them into co pilot and it makes some funny routing desicions, no matter what method i use motorbike / car.
I have even customised the methods (where you can say you prefer motorways, a roads etc) but cant get it to follow the tyre route 100%, it keeps going off on tangents....heard good things about the garmin
