Moz may be able to provide more details soon but a quick heads up about this event Its prob. the best value trackday in the UK, at £60 per day or £100 for the weekend Its a 'Top Gear' style track on the airfield runways but good fun and great atmosphere - and all your money goes to local and forces charities Local camping is at Rhosneigor or B&B / hotels in the area To book you need to email and register vehicles attending on the day (for security reasons) Its not Anglesey Circuit which is round the corner Third and final weekender for 2013! Slight changes to the dates as the airfield was unavailable on the 14/15th! Email [email protected] for a form or info!
I'm one of the organising team for this event and any more info you need just ask. There is a lot of hard work going on behind the scene for these events but as said it must be the cheapest track weekend in the UK! Its all done for charity by us volunteers so no big overheads like a track day organisers. Hope this link works! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAkQX6T1cfw&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Make sure Moz pulls his weight and does not try and pull the ' i'm an office' card or whatever he says he is! It's a good event which I hope to attend
Don`t worry my mate was the same, the camera is a bit deceiving but once he was on track it was easy! I can`t comment as I set the track out. lol!
Does anyone have an entry form they can email us as I've got a last minute place for Sunday and need entry form to take with me tomorrow along with cash. Email address is :- [email protected]
How did this event go - weather must have been spot on Shame I never got booked on but after Spain / France just too much on Roll on 2014 - think I will have contacts in high places for future events!
Great event and will have to do it again next year in April if they run it again. Weather was spot on and everyone got on well together, someone had little accident in last of morning session putting oil on the course so they changed it for the afternoon, all new braking points to learn again but now 2 straights which were super fast on the old Blade
Hope the person was not hurt who had the off - I know that was always the organisers fear and then the person in charge of base may say 'no more' - they had to do that to the car days after somebody rolled a car! Its the most sociable / and well run track day (prob. one of few run with armed guards to see you on / be on standbye to escort you off - which did happen on the car day) For any first timers it really is ideal - for next year there is a thought to have a 'road bike only' group, then slow / fast track bike groups which I think would work well, you get a very different approach to a group if all are on their road bikes.
