Has anyone used these intercoms if so are they as good as they claim, thinking of buying, I'd appreciate yours comments.
I have a set, only got mine as a few mates have the same so we can all talk to each other up to 8 others. There are some real good features on it although I would have to say the range from bike to bike isn't as far as it states in the hand book, it gets way worse if your in the hills or woods. On the motorway in France where the roads were straight we were getting almost a mile if you had good line of sight to each other however, in the hills it went down to 400-500 meters at most. Full charge last about 17hrs just with radio and sat-nav going through it, I have noticed that making and taking phone calls does drain it faster. I would say if your only going to use it for sat-nav and maybe talking to one other there are just as good cheaper options out there.
I got a set for me and the missus. Sound is good and clear and the charge lasts long enough. TBH am still learning it and tweaking the settings especially the VOX control but that is due to differing demands whether riding alone or with the missus. Have a search around on prices but be careful who you by from as Cardo can be apparently be a pain if you buy from a non-authorised dealer. There's more on the subject from an @arthurbikemad post. I got mine from Sportsbikeshop who actually price matched an ebay seller.
My brother uses these and says they are pretty good. I've got the Sena 20s, which seems easier to use on the move IMO. Both good sets and have made rides much more fun listening to my brothers pish talk there's a universal pairing option to link different brands in a 4-way conversation but so far we've only managed to link 3. apparently you can link an 8-way conversation with other senas but I haven't tried this
