Chopped in S1000 for a cracking black blade. N electronics want a an SC project exhaust. Had a 97 rrt before, new blade is a big step up

Just been riding it in the winter and running it in so hard to compare engines. The S1000 was a missile in race and slick mode. Got rid of it as I ride all year and had big problems with rotting sump and brembo calipers binding, even with nightly hosing down. Blade felt a bit soft on std settings so cranked up the preload and tweaked the suspension. Feeling lovely now and couple of dry days Ive had on it have felt great. Engine is creamy smooth, cant fault it so far. Liking the BPF and the grip from the rear. Exhaust is very quiet so looking at replacements. The bike is physically very small, light and even then comfy. Overall delighted with it, get first service done and some dry roads, then the fun can start.

Welcome Coop,thanks for the write up. I fortunately didn't buy an S1000 after seeing a 7 month old one with a rusty sump,chain, sprocket and bolts.Bought a blade instead and never looked back.
