Had a wee blast tonight , getting ready for the weekend. I was lucky and got home safe, dread to think what would have happened. Some of my mates say plug it others new tyre, thoughts please.
Sorry to go against the flow, but if you intend to go quickly, not that blade riders do such things, and can afford a new tyre..... It's New tyre for me. I'm sure someone would buy it plugged get half your money back? Mike.
Unless you want to throw money down the drain, why not plug that, it's in a safe area, and the tyre has loads of life. The last PR3 had 5 plugs in it, this one has got 2 in it, and it don't hang around. That would be about £750s worth of tyre down the drain if I followed the replace and buy new ethos. Every single rear tyre I have is plugged, just a fact of life in 6 day a week riding.
Plugged mine before, done td's and toured on em. Both going rather quickly and having no issues what so ever
I've plugged hundreds, some tyres can't be done, old Rennsports and supercorsa etc are a little thin to say the least so consideration needs to be taken with the type of tyre, but that, like all have said you have no worries, you could ask for a patch over the plug if you want to be double sure it does not leak.
