Scrubs/Part worn tyres for track bike, any good contacts ?

    As in the title looking for a contact for cheap ish scrubs/part worns anyone got some good contacts

    How much should they be etc any info greatly appreciated

    I can usually get shedloads once the BSB season has started, ive got none at the minute, i think Mike @ Racespares UK has some in though.

    Price wise, ive seen a dead set go for 60 quid and good sets for 100 quid plus.

    I have a decent set of part worn from Craig - decent price and true to description so can vouch for him Jamie!

    I do a lot of road miles, so need something slightly durable... But wanted a set for td's. Can't wait to give the racetechs a go.

    With us running a full scale race team in 2012 again, we'll have loads of scrubs once the season starts. Both from our own team and other supported riders.

    Will probably be Pirelli's and Metzelers for us this year again.

    Generally £80-£100 and have done between 10-30 laps and one heat cycle.

    Same as me, Pirelli 180's & Metzeler 190's plus the occasional set of michelin slick scrubs.

    Interacts ? Craig or Jonny is that K2 rear K1 front and would those be ok for fast road/track work, I have the K3's at the moment but have several mates running that combo road and track :)

    We'll be running both Supercorsa's and Interacts, so both will be available.

    K2 is a Medium Compound and K1 a Soft. The K3 is a more road based compound, slightly harder. Metzeler use a 'K' in front of a number for their compound and Pirelli use 'SC' in front of a number. Works the same way. Compounds really vary on the track, conditions, temperature etc. Again we will have a mix of compounds, used a lot of SC0 rear's and SC2 fronts in 2011, seemed to work really well in the warmer temps. Same sort of compounds that the guys in BSB / BSS ran too. But should have a good selection.

    I run a Irish Supersport race team. We're finished 2nd in 2011, lots of opportunities in 2012. We are doing official team launch early Feb. So will post full details :)
