Has anybody had the same problem with the 2 bolts(with phillips heads that hold the seat in place) keep coming loose. Just taken the bike off the road for winter , & have just noticed one of the bolts poking out of the little side panel trim under the seat, just rattling around. I have previously taken the panels off to find them loose.

Crap design in my opinion, loose metal inserts in the plastic seat.
The trouble I have getting them to go in...the inserts move in the holder!! arghhh
Icurrently have little foam wedges in there to assist...maybe its just me but I bet your screws aren't biting the holders properly and the retainer is moving away when you push on the screw.
Be very very gentle and pray if your religious!

I had the same issue but as Givover has said put a little Loctite on there and all was well :)

Luckily the covers keep the bolt contained once they have shaken loose

Mines the opposite in that they always seem to never want to unscrew, so have put a little bit of copper slip on them

Loctite? Not sure that's a good idea. This area need to be accessible in an emergency and those boolts are notorious for rounding off. Mainly because people use a Philips screwdriver, when they actually need a JIS I believe!

I set them in silicone sealant in the end. Easy to get screwbolts in and out now.

Mine didn't want to unscrew either and was probly just a matter of time before I ended up with issues (well apart from the obvious lol) so I made some threaded spacers for normal M6 bolts .... good idea with the silicone tho I'll be doing that too

Mines was in for servicing last month and went to put the optimate lead on on Saturday. Couldn't budge either side with a screwdriver. Had to do it with a ratchet to get the purchase. There's no way they should have been that tight. I now need 1 new screw as I have rounded the head slightly.
