Has anybody bought one of the chinese seat cowl copies of ebay for an 08 Blade ? and if so have you any feedback on the quality as £20 is a lot better than £160 plus from Honda

A mate recently bought a GSVR 750 fairing set for his 08 bike [Corona colours], it was an excellent piece of kit and went on with no problems.

I would take a punt on buying one for £20, I think Honda are taking the piss asking around £180 for a bit of plastic the size of a piece of bread

I bought a seat cowl for my RR5 from China for a fraction of the cost of an original...
They are excellent value for money and do exactly what they say on the tin, the paint finish on mine was fairly good however it is a very slightly different shade of red but most people don't notice, i suppose it will depend on what colour you get?

I bought a black 1 which was a great match and looks OEM, came with in a week and cant fault it however i advised a forum member to do the same on here and his has not arrived after 6 weeks so check the sellers feedback.

Iv heard from friends that white and red are not worth getting as the colour can be off. i was ok with black but it looks like i was lucky getting it delivered so fast

I think it's luck of the draw with most of the international stuff... I ordered a GP style petrol cap from China, that took 5 days, then i've ordered stuff that's taken 2 months to arrive?

Suppose you can always contact a seller to ask delivery times.

I remember reading about non-OEM fairings etc in a certain magazine a few months back, from what I can remember (altzimers) they looked pretty good fitted to an R1, they commented on fittings and the need to drill certain areas to get these kits to fit, I assume that the seat cowels will be much the same quality, an if bought on ebay you can always return if they have that policy?? I would want to make sure they had all the fittings and the lock bar fitted, as bill and Dan have said they are good quality, and you could always have it blown over if there is a colour problem (still cheaper than OEM). Something I aways stick to however is "buy cheap buy twice" lol

Without sounding to cheesy or gay great feedback everyone cheers.

I have a red RR8 and already have a OE Honda cowl in red but was thinking of fitting a white cowl to look like a white numberboard and fit it in conjunction with a Motografix from numberboard. A cheap £20 cowl is not the end of the world if it looks rubbish.

What do people think it will look like hit or miss ? LOL HA Ha !!!!!

Here's a shot of my bike as it is now.

I totally agree, i've bought loads of Chinese stuff for various bikes and it's always been ok, i even bought one of those pattern fairings for one of my old Blades in Colin Edwards Laguna Seca colours... that fitted like a glove and looked the nuts.
