How can I stop getting a sore bottom? I love this bike but every time I get 100+ miles in I get a sore bottom I have a Honda e comfort seat but still having the problem Is it because I brought a secondhand e seat so it was worn out( if that’s possible ) Can someone help please Need to do a long ride soon
I find buttock fatigue after long ride in kevlar jeans, but no problem when I wear my leather trousers (Alpinestar track) - guess the extra padding helps! 100 miles is enough for me in jeans, but done few thousand miles in a week no issue with the leathers!
Seriously though I would of thought that the e comfort seat should have solved the problem however could it be worth having the inner seat padding renewed ? perhaps the previous owner was a tad on the heavy side and its taken the toll on the seat.
Before I got my eComfort I would (on longer rides) wear a pair of padded cycling shorts under my leathers. Never felt the need to wear them since getting the eComfort, but I guess it wouldn’t harm to try some @bazzashadow Tip - buy the biggest pair you can as the sizes are nonsense - they are all small and you don’t want them cutting off the blood supply to your legs
I don't think it can be elminated for some people unfortunately, arse fatigue is always the limiting factor for me on the road. 100 miles on a blade is probably all I'd get before wanting to get off for a break. Used to get a bit further on upright BMW's but still, the thing to get me off first would be knackered arse. Cycling shorts will help for certain, but you'll probably just get longer before you're in pain, doubt it will remove it altogether.
I doubt it is worn out, more like you are just not bike fit yet! That said, where did you get it from, I have that was on my 12 then my 14, must have done over 50k miles on it and was fine and still better than the standard seat when I sold it. Is it a genuine Honda one?
I was going to say the same thing. I've done around 40k on mine and it was third hand when I got it. Its lost nothing in that time
I'm the same to be fair.....my arse really starts to hurt after 100 miles on all of the sports bikes I've had! As above....maybe my little arse needs some strength training
