Wanted to remove the seat tonight but was unable to undo the RHS philips screw. It will not turn and has been rounded. How do I get this thing out? Thanks.
    Do I drill it out?

    It's not a Philips screw, it's a jis.
Try dremeling a slot into the head and use a flat screwdriver.
When you replace it put a rubber or fibre washer under it.

Get a hammer and tap end of screwdriver as you put turning pressure on it

Use a centre dot punch on the side of the head at an angle and tap with hammer until it comes loose!

Copper slip or moly grease the new ones and they won't seize

Job done. I had to drill and then snap the head off. Then I had to remove the the rectangular bolt which is held in the seat with the remainder of the jig screw in ; another 30 mins.Fortunately, I have another doner seat for parts. I will now use alan key bolts. Anyone know size etc.

There were 4mm allen cap screws (5mm thread I think,or was it 5mm with 6mm thread?????) on my 09 and one of them was rounded off too. I hammered a torx bit into the hole then popped it out easy enough. The lower left hand fairing screw was the same too. They're made of cheese I think.
