i did a daytrip today from assen to osnabrück and back wich was some 550kms in total (90% landstrasse/b-roads) and 7 hours in the saddle and my butt is sore as f*ck....:(
i still have the stock seat and would really like to hear if anyone uses the honda comfort seat?
is it worth the money? here they go for 350-ish something and for that i expect a significant improvement atleast.
if its just a minor improvement i will stick with the stock one.....

I've just fitted the Honda comfort seat & it's a major improvement to the stock one. Not only is it far more comfy on the longer trips but it cushions the bumps etc too. Wish I'd got one earlier as it's certainly helped my bad back no end & no more sore arse :)
I bought mine off one of the guys on here...keep your eyes out as they pop up for sale now & then usually about £120 to £150 for ex second hand condition.

There are plenty of upholsteres around, you just need to find one. Choosing your own material is brilliant aswell, I'm not keen on the shiny finish on the stock seat. I have a rear seat cowl so don't have to worry about front and rear seats not matching.

i managed to find and buy a used one of ebay yesterday.
it didnt come cheap but after a call to ten kate dealership to find out what they go for new (450 euros...ouch...i thought it was 350) i figured it wasnt too bad specially after the guy at the dealer told me they cant be ordered new anymore....
so i wait for it to arrive and hope it solves (atleast partially) my comfort issue.
i am well aware a blade aint a touring bike and the stock seat aint that bad (for a sportbike) but if this mod enhances comfort levels just a bit that would be great...

    received the comfort seat today.
    used but in excellent condition.
i am really curious to find out if it helps making long trips ( 400+ kms in a day) more doable.
it sure looks better then the stock one i feel....:)
