Bike was put away before winter spotless, brakes stripped and cleaned etc but first thing I do before riding it in spring is oil and filter change.

Honda Service intervals for oil and filter change are every 12 months OR 8000 miles.

I change the oil every spring and don't exceed 8000 miles so just one oil change per year, best time to do it as it's been sitting all winter. As for garage services, they're just glorified oil changes, have them do that at start of year and winter service bike yourself. I doubt very much if they'd sit with a toothbrush and brake cleaner until calipers are spotless:cool:

If the bikes been stored in a dry place and only done 200 miles since an oil change there's no way that I'd change the oil.
Thats the good thing about the internet, you always get a definitive answer lol. ;)

I store mine indoors for 18 months. Just cleaned it spotless filled up the tank, added fuel stabilizer. Cranked the engine for few second to get the oil circulating and that's it!
1200 mile on the new oil is nothing to worry about (I assume it is synthetic). I wouldn't change it
