is this because of the HRC sub frame? i'm not sure but i'd imagine (as with other elecrical stuff like the HESD) you can just loop it out with a resistor or wire tap. i assume you've already got it disconnected on your bike, just taken the cables off?
You can buy purpose units from the states I was hoping somebody my know a uk supplier Well aware that you could just use a resistor etc but want a pukka unit
bit more info required please year or model would help and have you got a less grainy picture all i can tell from that is its a non ABS model. thanks if i had to guess...... your servo would have 5 wires to the plug blue, red, green, brown and yellow/red and the sensor should have 4 white,blue/red,grey,violet/red, however some of the wires change color after the plug this is based on what i remember on my old 2008.
Sweet mate. It's an 08 plate. But it's an American bike. That's about the only un plugged connectors i could find under all that mess
you need the page or 2 up aswell to actually tell you how to check/read the fault codes, just having the fault code codes is no use as they dont come up as individual fault codes, just that you have a fault (the MIL light comes on on start up).
The codes translate to short and long blinks of the light. I can't remember the details and not got access to my manual right now but Google will tell you how to read them.
basically,if you dont have a fault code reader you need to do it manually by shorting the diagnostic lead (up near the battery with a red cap on it) to give a reading.this reading comes up via the MIL light oin the dash.it will give a series of blinks, some short, some long.now this is the tricky bit,you have to count the long and short blinks, then transfer the info to the chart posted up.1 long blink is equal to 10 short blinks,so for example,5 long and 1 short (so in theory 51 blinks)is a HESD fault. problem is,if there is more than 1 fault it can get confusing to read them all but there is a good gap between each series of faults showing up.i always read the blinks 3 0r 4 times to get a proper reading and not get confused.
