Hi there just had some SES rearsets delivered my quickshifter shift rod now is a tad close to the frame the good people at SES are making me a new rod which theres is a load thinner and might be able to not bother doing this. Is it ok to rotate the knuckle that is fitted to the spline coming out gearbox because if i move this 1 spine it brings the rod away from the frame . Has anyone had any experience with this . I have searched and some people say its gotta be at 90 degrees or changing gear gets harder. Any thoughts cheers Lee

I wouldn't adjust the position on the spline. I would however take the rod off and buff it down on a grinder so it fits. (if its only a small amount needed). It does look allot more substantial than the honda part.

You could also just take some length off of the shifter rod. By looks of things the gear change peg looks a little low because of the quick shifter.

Do you have to move your foot around the peg to change gear?

i deally the knuckle should be at 90 deg. but 1 spline round wont (or at least never has for me) make any difference, but wouldn't move it anymore than that.

I think I was 2/3 splines out on my triumph 675, because my rod was too long. It is harder to change gear because you are loosing leverage. I didn't have any problems though.
