Well since I got the new Blade in November there has not been may chances to get the miles in, With only 91 miles on the clock and the best rain free weekend I could wait not longer to do my were Running in Scottish loop. At one point between Kenmore and Gilmartin I was gobsmacked by how much snow lined the roads and truly thought I had gone mad, but none of that could dampen a brilliant day. Obviously I did not get the bike out on its best legs and I did have to take it easy, but what a bike to do it on, I cannot believe that a bike that is almost knocking on 180BHP could be so manageable. Suspension, I did not think about it for most of the time, it just soaked up the bumps and felt brilliant. No sore wrists, remarkable pulling power and brilliant roll-on in top. Made easy work of the twisty wet slimy gravely pot holed roads. No scares, no moments but just the thrill of feeling so confident. Easy to back of the power and no need for any heavy braking. Roll on the better weather but what I experienced today has me very excited. 156 miles until the petrol light came on too- Fantastic - Its got a better range than my VFR 1200 had
Nice 1. It was a bit cold up here but the sky's were blue. Only thing though is the amount of salt on the roads at the moment. A good downpour should sort that out
What route did you do / take - I've ridden loads in Scotland and cannot place any of those pics other than the road bridge in Edinburgh
It looks like the roads up past Aberfoil in the trossacks. Maybe Lock Chon where he's parked up next to the loch. I used to do a lot of fishing up that way.
